The spellbinding profitable photographs from the world’s largest area images competitors have been revealed by the Royal Observatory Greenwich.
Now in its fifteenth 12 months, the Astronomy Photographer of the 12 months competitors goals to focus on beginner area photographers from across the globe.
This 12 months’s profitable picture was taken by Germany’s Marcel Drechsler, France’s Xavier Strottner, and Yann Sainty.
Their picture of a never-before-seen oxygen arc subsequent to the Andromeda galaxy got here up prime amongst 4,000 submitted entries from 64 nations.
The {photograph} was taken in 2022 and — in keeping with its authors — was an “absolute accident”.
