Not quite the same, but I ran into Fred Durst in Amsterdam. I had no clue who he was, but I sat next to him in the crowded restaurant. I never understood why some celebrities or even slightly popular people use that classic egostical narcissistic phrase "Do you know who I am?" It just comes off so arrogant and rude thinking youre so important. There's better ways to handle situations than being pompous and swollen up with pride. Ive never been famous so obviously ill never know for sure if id use that line as well, but i do know that im glad im not famous. I dont need that attention, it drains my energy

I met Lindsay Ell once, had no clue who she was. A band I was selling merch for played a show with her and after her set she came to hang out at the merch booth to talk to fans and sign swag. She was there for probably an hour we had a fun chat, I can't remember what about, then she left. Years later I noticed her name on a billboard and recognized her and she had become quite famous. That's my lame claim to fame and non-recognition of a celebrity.
