Mia Goth returns to Ti West’s “X” trilogy within the official trailer for A24’s “MaXXXine.” After each “X” and “Pearl” premiered in 2022, “MaXXXine” will conclude the horror sequence on July 5. Goth is joined in “MaXXXine” by Kevin Bacon, Bobby Cannavale, Elizabeth Debicki, Moses Sumney, Michelle Monaghan, Lily Collins, Halsey and Giancarlo Esposito.
The movie’s official synopsis from A24 reads: “In Nineteen Eighties Hollywood, grownup movie star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx lastly will get her huge break. However as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Hollywood, a path of blood threatens to disclose her sinister previous.”
Goth revealed some details about the movie to Selection in January, saying: “It’s the most important story of the three with the very best stakes and Maxine has gone by a lot at this level. So after we discover her on this new world, she’s only a pressure to be reckoned with and she or he goes by some fairly wild adventures.”
West and Goth’s horror sequence kicked off with “X,” which adopted a gaggle of newbie filmmakers making an attempt to make a porn film at an remoted cabin. “Pearl,” the prequel, explored the cabin proprietor’s origin story, from longing to be a star within the budding movie trade to finally submitting to her killer wishes.
