A former rock musician has been arrested on a first-degree homicide cost within the loss of life of his lacking girlfriend after human stays have been present in a wooded space in California, police stated.
Theobald “Theo” Lengyel, 54, was taken into custody Tuesday in reference to the murder of his girlfriend, Alice “Alyx” Kamakaokalani Herrmann, 61, who was final seen Dec. 3 in Santa Cruz, Capitola police introduced Tuesday.
She was reported lacking by her household on Dec. 12, the El Cerrito Police Division stated. The Capitola Police Division took over because the lead company within the case, and detectives shortly suspected foul play was concerned, with Lengyel as a suspect.
Her automobile, a pink 2007 Toyota Highlander, was present in entrance of her boyfriend’s house in El Cerrito, police stated. Authorities also said that he “has not cooperated with the police investigation” and days following her disappearance he was recognized to have travelled by automobile from El Cerrito, California, to Portland, Oregon.
Lengyel was a founding member of the funk-metal band Mr. Bungle, in keeping with sfgate.com. He performed saxophone, clarinet and keyboards for the group from 1985 to the mid-Nineteen Nineties, in keeping with the San Francisco Chronicle.
Investigators ultimately recovered human stays in a wooded space inside Tilden Regional Park in Berkeley, about 4 miles from El Cerrito. These stays are pending DNA affirmation from the Contra Costa County Coroner’s Workplace.

Lengyel was arrested with out incident and booked into Santa Cruz County Jail. It’s not instantly clear if he has authorized illustration.
