Ben Stiller, Mark Hamill and extra stars are leaping to Martin Quick’s protection after an op-ed labeled the Emmy award winner “exhausting, sweaty and desperately unfunny.”
The Slate op-ed, titled “Why We Keep Putting Up With Martin Short,” critiqued Quick’s comedic profession, describing his roles as “over-the-top characters” which can be “unbelievably annoying.”
After the article was revealed on Friday, lots of Quick’s colleagues took to social media to publicly reward the “Solely Murders within the Constructing” actor. Fellow “Saturday Night time Dwell” alum Ben Stiller wrote on X (previously often called Twitter), “Martin Quick is a comedic genius. Finish o story.”
Mark Hamill, the unique Luke Skywalker from the “Star Wars” franchise, compiled a collage of a few of Quick’s comedic characters all through his profession, writing, “Arduous to consider persons are truly debating whether or not or not Martin Quick is humorous. Newsflash: He’s HILARIOUS. #ComicGenius.”
“SNL” comic and “Higher Name Saul” actor Micheal McKean wrote, “Man actually blew the lid off of the entire Martin Quick story, didn’t he?”
