Tony Bennett’s son D’Andrea “Danny” Bennett revealed the late music legend’s final phrases to him had been, “Thanks.”
The pop, jazz and big-band vocalist died July 21 on the age of 96 in his hometown of New York, his publicist Sylvia Weiner confirmed to The Put up.

However he had different plans.
“Tony’s like, ‘I don’t know what you’re speaking about. , I wanna hold singing.’”
His son added, “We’d take him to the physician and he’d go, ‘What am I — why am I right here?’
The “Rags to Riches” singer at all times reassured his family members that he was doing all proper and didn’t want fixed medical consideration.
“Susan. I’m actually okay. We don’t have to come back again,” he would say.
The final music he sang was one he’d initially recorded again in 1951, “Due to You.”
“The music by no means left him,” Bennett’s spouse revealed.
Earlier than he died, the Grammy winner informed Benedetto, “That he cherished me … he would get up on daily basis and nonetheless say that,” she stated. “He awoke joyful on daily basis.”
The beloved singer is survived by his spouse; Danny and his different son, Dae Bennett; his daughters, Joanna and Antonia Bennett; and 9 grandchildren.
