NEW YORK (AP) — Robin Walter’s “Little Mercy,” a debut assortment of verse that celebrates the pure world, has received the 2024 Academy of American Poets’ First Guide Award.
Walter will obtain $5,000 and a six-week residency in Umbria, Italy. Her e-book will likely be revealed subsequent 12 months by Graywolf Press, an impartial writer whose authors have included Maggie Smith, Elizabeth Alexander and former U.S. poet laureate Tracy Okay. Smith. The academy itself plans to buy 1000’s of copies and distribute them to members.
