BTS’s Jungkook, (G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon, SEVENTEEN’s Vernon, and extra have been promoted to full members of the Korea Music Copyright Affiliation (KOMCA)!
Based on the KMCA, about 51,000 composers and lyricists are registered as members of the affiliation as of January 2024. Any copyright holder is ready to be part of KOMCA as a “junior member,” however the board of administrators chooses 30 junior members annually to advertise to the standing of “full members.” 27 members are chosen from the mainstream class, whereas the remaining three are chosen from the non-mainstream class.
This 12 months’s record of those that have been promoted to full members consists of BTS’s Jungkook, (G)I-DLE’s Jeon Soyeon, SEVENTEEN’s Vernon, BOL4’s Ahn Ji Younger, Code Kunst, and Ahn Ye Eun, in addition to songwriters 250, VERSACHOI, Lee Seuran, and TOIL.
