ASKING ALEXANDRIA‘s Ben Bruce has introduced that he’s “stepping away” from the band.
Bruce shaped ASKING ALEXANDRIA in 2006 and has performed on the entire British band’s eight studio albums, together with ASKING ALEXANDRIA‘s newest full-length launch, 2023’s “The place Do We Go From Right here?” A brand new ASKING ALEXANDRIA EP, “Darkish Void”, arrived earlier this month.
In a message posted on Instagram earlier right now (Friday, January 19),the guitarist thanked the ASKING ALEXANDRIA followers for his or her “years of affection and help” earlier than explaining that “it is time to dedicate my life to my household. On high of household medical conditions, leaving my kids means lacking out on too many essential moments of their lives.”
Ben‘s full assertion reads as follows:
“To my wonderful AA household,
“Before everything, I wish to say thanks to everybody for the years of affection and help. It means extra to me than you’ll be able to think about.
“I’ve spent my total life devoted to music. It has been my past love since concerning the age of two and the journey I have been on has been completely unimaginable. As I’ve grown older and my life has inevitably modified, I’ve come to understand how treasured time is. The time I’ve spent with all of you has been the time of my life. However now it is time to dedicate my life to my household.
“On high of household medical conditions, leaving my kids means lacking out on too many essential moments of their lives. It is so essential for me to be there for them as they develop, and to be right here for my household as they want me to be, which implies, after a whole lot of thought, I might be stepping away from ASKING ALEXANDRIA.

Bruce has been the lead guitarist, backing vocalist and first songwriter of ASKING ALEXANDRIA because the band’s inception practically 20 years in the past.
