A college band efficiency of Led Zeppelin’s basic Stairway to Heaven has gone viral after being shared on-line.
The efficiency, which was filmed late final month on the Wolfbrook Enviornment in Christchurch, on New Zealand’s South Island, came about through the annual prize-giving ceremony for college students from St Andrew’s Faculty, an area faculty.
The footage stars lead singer Grace Burnett, lead guitarist Mia Fraser, and acoustic guitarist James McIver, whereas the band is made up of greater than 100 musicians, assembled from the ranks of the college’s rock band, faculty orchestra, senior choir, and jazz band.
The college’s association of Stairway To Heaven takes inspiration from the much-loved efficiency by Coronary heart’s Ann and Nancy Wilson on the Kennedy Middle Honors present in 2012, when the pair have been joined onstage by drummer Jason Bonham and a bowler-hatted choir surfaced for the climax.
“We received it organized for our orchestra and it was the best piece of music for the best 12 months group,” the college’s head of music Duncan Ferguson tells 1News. “So it got here collectively very well.”
