Richa Chadha is essentially saying that only successful actors, producers, directors have the right to speak on behalf of Bollywood.

Now extrapolate Ms.Chadha's bigoted statement to other spheres………..:)

Larger than life is cringe as f. Maybe laborers look forward to crap like that, but anyone with even a mild intellect and sense of reality of life, hero will be human.

Looks like this video is trying to prove that heroism is the only thing makes business. Bhai I am telugu and I don't watch telugu movies because of too much heroism. No common sense , no new ness in Telugu movies. Same dialogues, same fight scenes. Fighting one man with 100s of people in slow motion. too much violence. Except hero all are shown as buffoons . No logic. No good music.
same repeat DVD with different movie name. If you don't believe, take last 15 movies of Telugu cinema acted by so called starts and see. If you really find any difference let me know.

Most of telugu movies are hit because there are certain set of people who wants to promote their caste , language etc. not the talent. And we are there everywhere. US, UK and on moon (if you can find). That is the reason movies gain popularity.

Heroism is not the one good audience look of. A balancing act and all actors considered in the movie are give right portion to entertain.
Just because of few recent hits , you cannot say Telugu industry is better. Look at director Shanker movies. His Enthiran and 2.0 are far better movies than bahubali.
AR Rahman music is far better than RRR music or BB.

But when movies made just for earnings, there is nothing to talk about. If you like it , you go and watch it. It doesn't matter whether it is a bollowood or tollowood or kollywood movie.

It's not only cinema… It's the science and technology that leading our country forwards, please stop saying it's movies making India stronger.. I mean that doesn't make any sense, be it with their make up to their technical setup it's always science and technology. These industry people are least educated and know shit about subjects they are talking about India's upbringing😅

No doubt Indian cinema is overshadowed by bollywood. It does not mean that other cinema were never relevant. If they would never been then they would have never survived. I am a Malyalam movie buff. I talk with my Malayalam friends about the stories of movies and they are like. No you should go for him. For that. OTT platforms has provided me such a great opportunity to explore other regional cinema. We need to explore. Lets do that. I have come to a stage where i don't say its a south movie. I clarify people its a Tamil movie, or telugu. I can differentiate South Indian dialects and say thats Malayalam, thats tamil, thats Telugu, thats Kanadda. At least from 2020 I have learnt this.

Nawazuddin purposely brought that up because you can see it on his face ki he doesn’t really want to but the audience likes it and he’s getting that kind of movies to do so he’s doing it. He’s like pandemic ke baad itna ghar rehke bhi logo yahi banana aur logo ko yahi dekhna hai bade budget mein.

but the south discriminates against hindi films. If you want to grow than accept hindi as the national language and I mean sudh hindi, not the filmi hindi crap infused with urdu words, because muslim writers and filmmakers refused to be indian and abused the freedom they were given. BJP has been trying hard to bring the country together but they have been to nice and local pride of foolish tamil, kanada, telugu …. and the list goes on, funded by foreign NGO'S, people have prevented and sabotaged these efforts.

I agree with the point raised that we need to unite films from a regional to a national level. This is probably the only way we could unite the sensibilities of different people in India.

While I get where Prashant Neel is coming from and while I don't agree with it, I respect his opinion that commerce comes before art. But the 2 films of his that I have watched, KGF 1 and KGF 2 namely, have been absolutely garbage, imo. The films feel as if they've been directed by a music video director and not a filmmaker. The never-ending use of slow motion in both his films which stretches 30-minute footage to a 3-hour-long travesty paired with the horrible, lifeless acting by the self-proclaimed "Rocking Star" Yash made up for the most painful theatre experience of my lifetime. I have never regretted more paying for a movie ticket than I did for KGF 2.

Well one way to understand Cinema today is that it has rooted thirst for Machoism and deep sexism. Most south films, despite some good hang of narrative and story (barring say some of Malayalam cinema) Telgu and Kannada cinema is extremely unrealistic. That’s what Bollywood perhaps swallowed the bitter woke pill and allowed women protagonists to form integral part of the story. But as masses would have it, they turned to Telgu and Kannada films to look for the toxic sexism.
This is what is driving the movie market. Nothing is wrong with Bollywood (yes it will always have some problems if one nit-picks) and it has its own sexism but it seems Bollywood leading ladies or stories which are balanced are growing exponentially, that’s not how the average movie goer from hinterlands is able to gather or connect with. Because society has lately been regressive in all aspects.

Honestly with stars comments we can see that the transition is happening and the transition is for the greater good. It's going to get better. Maybe in the distant feature, there wouldn't be a bollywood or a kollywood or tollywood. It will be called Indian cinema.

sorry but this might sound stupid and gatekeepy but personally i don't want local film industries or actors to unite and go pan india bs for the sake of being more popular worldwide and earn more money. local industries are a big soft power tool for their communities, which in turn makes them strong. this is why mahesh prefers to stick to his telugu movies.

what vijay said will just sound good when said and nothing more than that. his own wannabe pan movie flopping is a proof. prabhas is another example, man has almost lost his image in the telugu community by trying to go pan. just keep things like they were and dub local movies if u are interested.

You people mocked the South Indian in movies for decades…from Padosan to Ra One and now that south has all the glory and $$$ you want a piece of the action with us? Maybe Vijay Devarakonda and Junior NTR is being diplomatic and wants to but we sure don’t want or need you all. Keep making your crappy films Bollywood and leave us be

Guys like you earn your living on Bollywood, hence it is natural for you to advocate for the likes of Richa Chaddha and her 2 paisa views.
But deep down inside, you know well enough that Bollywood crap is not going to sell well anymore.
